Stuck in a Rut

I've been stuck in a rut. Every time I go into slash and burn the specialty shows for the first round of serious elimination, I can't seem to get rid of much. A good sign that I should go back to the regular DJ shifts and do the second round of editing, placing them into sequences based on topic or b-roll usage. Gotta get out of the rut!

I'm through the first round of elimination for the regular DJ shifts.  Now I move on to the specialty shows. 

Trees in the forest

Some days, it is hard to see the forest through the trees.  I’m so wrapped up in filtering through the DJ tapes these days that I need reminders as to the big picture.  I get so focused that when I look up I need to ask, "Where am I now?"  It can be difficult to ascertain the distance traversed.  I suppose this is one of the hazards of such a large project.  Getting lost in the components of the whole is at times necessary because without each of those parts there wouldn’t be such an awesome collective.  There’s only a forest with a bunch of trees surrounding each other.  And, what an awesome “problem” to have- so many cool people and topics to work with!
